Travancore Heritage

Travancore Heritage is set in 14 acres of lush green land, atop a 120 ft. cliff, at Chowara, Trivandrum. Being situated on the shores of the Arabian Sea, you can explore the charm of the blue sea and the soft white sands, while staying here. The 150 year-old palace and a group of age-old cottages showcase the brilliance of Kerala’s traditional architecture. Most of the houses are built in ‘Naalukettu’ style and, you’ll be fascinated by the artworks done on the wooden roof.

ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation at The Travancore Heritage is located on the cliff as well as on the beach side which is spread over 13 acres amidst coconut plantations and landscaped gardens overlooking the sea. Built in traditional Kerala architecture, Travancore Heritage offers following categories of accommodation:

THE BEACH GROVE situated at the foot of the 120 ft. cliff, the Beach Grove offers 24 luxurious rooms facing the sea. These rooms are well equipped with most modern facilities, including a lift. Here, you will stay closer to sea and have the most exciting holiday in your life.     

HERITAGE HOME COTTAGES are located on the cliff overlooking the gardens and partial sea view as well. The traditional design in harmony with historic interiors, these superbly equipped wooden cottages are ideal for both international and domestic travellers.    

PREMIUM MANSION located on the cliff, Premium Mansion Rooms feature the best sea view. Each patio or balcony will allow you to enjoy the views of Arabian Sea. Apart from elegant furnishings, the floor is paved with terracotta for comfort and convenience for the guest.     

HERITAGE PREMIUM COTTAGES are located on the cliff overlooking the Arabian sea and offer garden view as well. The traditional design in harmony with historic interiors, these superbly equipped wooden cottages are ideal for both international and domestic travellers.      
 
POOL MANSION is a traditional homestead of old Tharavadu where many generations of a matrilineal family lived. These types of buildings are typical to the Indian state of Kerala. The traditional architecture is typically a rectangular structure where four halls are joined together with a central court yard open to the sky. More than 100 yrs old wooden houses demolished and re constructed here for the guest who really wanted to have privacy with there own pvt. swimming pool, which is situated on the cliff with garden and partial sea view. 

RESTAURANTS
The 'ocean grill' beach side restaurant is ideally situated between the beach grove and the sea. With thatched roofing and sea breeze caressing through, this restaurant specializes in sea food. 

Travancore Heritage also features a separate Ayurveda Restaurant which serves specialty ayurveda dishes. 

The 'open house' restaurant here is open on the front sides with arches and overlooks the pool. It has a wooden roof ceiling on its main hall which is some 100 years old with such exquisite decorative work, sourced from the marriage hall of a feudal chief in Tamil Nadu. The restaurant offers multi-cuisine fare with the specialty of seafood and local ethnic cuisine and can serve 80 guests at a time.

AYURVEDA                                                
Travancore Heritage offers relaxing, wonderful massages, administered by trained and experienced masseurs and masseuses. The most important aspect of Ayurveda is the medicated oil massage. These oils are made from the extracts of herbs. Some of them very rare and obtained only in very select herbal gardens. Below is a list of the various kinds of massage and treatment packages offered for specific problems. If your particular ailment does not fall into the categories listed below, Travancore Heritage’s physician will advise you on the best treatment for you. Treatment can be for three, seven, fourteen, twenty-one, thirty or fourteen days. The cost of each treatment is given separately.
