Day 1

Arrive Patna 

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel and freshen up.


This afternoon visit Takth Sri Patna Sahib Gurdwara, Gurdwara Shri Maini Sangat Bal Leela Sahib and Gurdwara Kangan Ghat.



OPTIONAL VISIT: 

Gurdwara Shri Sunar Toli Sahib (Sonar Toli) – Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji reached Patna and sat at place where Gurdwara Shri Gau Ghaat Sahib is situated. Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave Bhai Mardana Ji a precious stone. Bhai Mardana Ji went to City to sell it. He reached Sunaar toli market, no one rated it right. A Sunaar Murli Dhar took Bhai Mardana Ji to Salas Rai Johri. Salas Rai got amazed to see the stone that he bowed and presented 100 rs as darshan Bheta. Bhai Mardana Ji gave that Money to Guru Nanak Dev Ji but Guru Nanak Dev Ji returned money as they have not sold the stone yet. Later Salas Rai visited Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Guru Nanak Dev Ji preached him that he should also evaluate the value of life as he had evaluated the value of stone. Salas Rai became Guru Nanak Dev Ji disciple. On there request Guru Nanak Dev Ji came here in Sunar toli market. Guru Nanak Dev Ji also visited Salas Rai Johri's house, Where later Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji took birth. This was very small place where Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited. 


Gurdwara Gau Ghat – This is a historical sikh shrine situated at alamganj Mohalla in patna. This was Bhagat Jaitamal's house. It was sanctified first by Guru Nanak in 1509 A.D. and later by Guru Tegh Bahadur along with his family in 1666 A. D.


Guru Ka Bagh – Gurdwara Guru Ka Bagh is a sikh shrine about three kilometers east of Takht Patna Sahib is where Guru Tegh Bahadur first alighted in a garden (bagh) belonging to Nawabs Rahim Bakhsh and Karim Bakhsh, nobles of Patna, and where the sangat of Patna along with the young Sahibzada came out to receive him back from his four year long odyssey. Here, after this visit of the 9th sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the dry Bagh became lush and Green with plantlife. A shrine commemorative of the first meeting of Holy Father and son was established here soon after. Its present building was constructed during the 1970s and 1980s.


Gurdwara Handi Sahib - Situated on distance of 20 Km from Shri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji while going to Punjab stopped here. When Guru Sahib left for Punjab many people followed him. People here gave warm welcome to Guru Sahib and sangat. An old lady served everyone with pot (Handi) full of Khichri. She requested GURU SAHIB to stop there for some more time, then GURU SAHIB told her that so long khichri would be cooked here and served to sangat you will feel my presence here. That lady kept serving the sangat with khichri through out her life. Along with GURU SAHIB was Mata Gujri Ji and Mama Kirpal Das Ji. 


Day 2

Day in Patna

Today, morning visit Guru Nanak Sheetal Kund in Rajgir. At the time of Guru Nanak's visit, he had long discussion with Buddhist & Jain monks and impressed upon them towards the importance of devotion to one god. The city was surrounded by hot springs and cold drinking water was not available to people. So,on pointing out of the Guru,people dug a place & water gushed out. From then, the place is known as “Nanak Kund”,where later this Gurdwara had built.


OPTIONAL VISIT: 


Optional visit to Nalanda and Rajgir (80 Kms / 2.5 Hrs): visit Nalanda - the great Buddhist University and the Great Stupa. Continue drive to Rajgir (20 Kms from Nalanda) - the capital of 6th century Magadha Empire. It was revered site of Buddha’s discourses. Buddha spent many years here. Visit Gridhrakula, Sapataparni cave, Ajatsatru fort and Venuvana. 


Optional visit to Bodhgaya (110 Kms / 4 Hrs): Today we will take a same day excursion to Bodhgaya to visit Mahabodhi temple - one of the four holy sites related to the life of the Lord Buddha, and particularly to the attainment of Enlightenment. The first temple was built by Emperor Asoka in the 3rd century B.C., and the present temple dates from the 5th or 6th centuries. It is one of the earliest Buddhist temples built entirely in brick, still standing in India, from the late Gupta period. Japanese and Tibetan monasteries along with Magadha University museum are also visited, later return to Patna for overnight stay


Day 3

Depart Patna

After breakfast, visit Takht Sri Patna Sahib , situated in Patna city which is also the capital of Bihar state. Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born here in 1666 and He spent his early childhood here before moving to Anandpur Sahib. Besides being the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Patna was also visited by Guru Nanak Dev Sahib Ji and Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at different points of time. Here also stayed Guru Gobind Singh Ji's mother who is Mata Gujri Ji. In the house of salis rai jaohri.


In time you will be transferred to the Patna airport to catch your flight for onwards destination.
