Punakha

Punakha, the erstwhile winter capital of Bhutan, heralds the most enchanting views of the Himalayas. Punakha Dzong was the second dzong to be built in Bhutan and was the seat of government when Punakha was the capital city. En-route from Paro to Punakha lies the Dochula Pass, offering mesmerizing views of the Himalayan ranges, valleys and meadows.
