National Parks in Sri Lanka are famed for their elephant herds, crocodiles, sloth bear, leopards, and a variety of bird life. The most popular wildlife park is Yala National Park, which is reported to have the highest density of leopards in Asia. Other popular wildlife parks include Uda Walawe National Park, Sinharaja Biosphere (a world heritage rain forest, renowned for its variety of reptiles and birds) and Minneriya National Park (located at the centre of the cultural triangle, famous for its wild elephants).
